Established in 1986, Badger Farm Preschool Playgroup operates out of the Badger Farm Community Centre. Our facilities feature a dedicated playroom, a safe outdoor play area, and regular access to the large sports hall.

Our Aims:

  • To enhance and develop the education of children under statutory school age in a parent-involving community based group.

  • To provide a safe, secure and stimulating environment.

Operating term time only, we offer full-day sessions from Monday through Wednesday, and half-day sessions on Thursday and Friday finishing at 12:15 PM. We provide a fresh, healthy snack for all children every day to keep them refuelled, and we ask that parents send a healthy packed lunch for their child on full-day.

Our Aspirations -

ASPIRATION 1-to be a happy, confident, independent learner.

ASPIRATION 2 - to listen to, and retell a story, or song, understanding the different elements of each, developing own language skills.

ASPIRATION 3 - to use both gross and fine motor skills with increasing control, within own play, both inside and outside, and develop an understanding of a healthy, independent lifestyle.

ASPIRATION 4 - to be able to create using a wide range of resources from both own imagination and by following an example.

ASPIRATION 5 - to communicate freely about our diverse setting and the wider world around us.

What We Offer at our Pre-school -

  • A bespoke curriculum for each child inline with the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) as set out by the Department for Education (DfE).

  • Individual care and attention made possible by a high adult/child ratio 1:6 for 3 & 4 year olds and 1:4 for under 3 year olds.

  • The support of a personal key person.

  • Individual Learning Journals for each child.

  • Opportunities for the whole family to be involved in the activities of the group and in your child's progress.

  • Fun and friendship with other children and adults.
